We are looking for a dedicatedAdministration Officerto join our Magic Pudding Child Care Centre in Ultimo, Sydney. This role is part-time, 18-20 hours per week, and can be spread across 3-5 days. The role requires on-site work, as working from home is not an option.
As part of a small team, youβll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Centreβs administrative functions. Acting as the friendly face of our Magic Pudding, youβll build rapport with parents, greet families upon arrival and departure, address inquiries, and create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for children and their families.
Your Responsibilities
Provide efficient and timely administrative support to the Centre.
Be the first point of contact at reception, fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Maintain accurate childcare fee accounts in compliance with relevant legislation.
Handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person from parents and prospective families.
Manage child enrolments and ensure documentation is current and accurate.
Ensure rooms and office areas are appropriately stocked, including unpacking and storing stock safely.
Prepare and distribute communication materials such as newsletters, schedules, and event updates.
Perform general office duties, including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Provide accurate and timely information to the Finance Manager for financial reports.
Assist the Centre Director with various tasks as needed.
About You
To be considered, youmusthave:
2β4 yearsβ experiencein an administrative role within childcare or early childhood setting.
**Understanding of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)**and relevant compliance requirements.
Experience with Hubworksor other CCS-compliant childcare management software.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
A currentWorking with Children CheckandNational Police Check.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management and organisation, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
A warm and approachable manner, with the ability to build positive relationships with families.
A commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ongoing learning.
