We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivatedAssistant Cookto join our team at Nukids on apermanent Part timebasis and provide support to our Chef in fulfilling the nutritional needs of all our children and encourage the development of healthy eating habits

Why Join Us?

Offer of shorter shifts (Part-time position)- 10am to 2pm Monday to Thursday.

If interested, we do have longer shifts available (Full-time position)- if qualified (Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood) and willing to work on the floor as well.

Requirements for the Role:

Must have Food Handling Basics Certificate.

Must have Working with Children's Check (or willingness to obtain)

Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for young children.

A passion for cooking and creativity in developing appealing and nutritious meals.

Ability to maintain kitchen hygiene/cleanliness and adhere to checklists

What we expect from you:

Learn the various recipes/meals prepared at the centre incase the head chef is ever absent from the service

Support our head chef in fulfilling all of her duties at the centre such as preparing meals/chopping/cutting/cleaning/washing/drying

Ability to do stock-take and conduct food orders based on availability of stock

Help prepare the meals in a timely manner whilst also managing allergies and nutritional requirements of a variety of children.

Communicating between rooms and the head chef to ensure nutritional needs are being met.
