Educational Leader – OSHC | Inner West Sydney
About the Role:
We’re looking for a caring, passionate Educational Leader who wants to make a real difference every day. This role offers stability, meaningful leadership, and the support of structured split-shift hours. ** Your week will include: **
- Leading the design and delivery of engaging Before & After School Care programs, including programming, observations, and documentation of children’s learning
- Creating a safe, inclusive environment that celebrates diversity
- Guiding smooth routines, transitions, and child-centred behaviour support
- Being the Responsible Person (RP) on shift, ensuring safety, compliance, and smooth operations
- Overseeing WHS, risk minimisation, and daily compliance tasks
- Building strong relationships with children, families, staff, and the school community
- Assisting with rostering, team coordination, and resource management

About the Service:**
This is a warm, community-rooted OSHC located within school grounds in Sydney’s Inner West. Run by a parent-led committee, the service is:
- Meeting-rated in its latest A&R
- Powered by Xplorfor CCMS and programming
- Known for its inclusive, relationship-focused approach
- Dedicated to staff wellbeing, reflection, and ongoing professional growth
You’ll join a small, supportive team led by a thoughtful Director who values collaboration and professionalism.
About You:
You’re reflective, reliable, and committed to creating environments where children thrive. You bring:
- Experience in OSHC or early years education
- Confidence working across BSC & ASC routines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Leadership ability to guide practice and mentor staff
- A professional, values-driven approach to child safety and wellbeing
**Bonus (not essential):**Diploma in School Age Education & Care (or working towards).
Child Safeguarding:
Looking for an individual that will understand, adhere to, and promote The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (the Child Safe Standards). In your position, you will help to take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people.
Child safeguarding methods for this position, include, but are not limited to:
- Working With Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
- Thorough screening.
- Reference checks.
- A national criminal history check.
