Casual OSHC Educators

Everton Park P&C OSHC is actively seeking passionate, motivated casual educators to join our play-based service.

As a P&C-operated service, we cater to the Everton Park State School Community, offering Before and After School Care, as well as Vacation Care for students from Prep to Year 6. Our service is licensed to accommodate up to 200 children, and we are in an exciting phase of growth—making this an ideal time to join our team at Everton Park OSHC.

Our leadership team is in search of educators with a proven background in childcare who can support the Service Manager and Leadership Team in implementing our emergent and free-play philosophy.

The ideal candidate will:

Be available for a minimum ofthree afternoon shifts per week and open to morning shifts

Hold (or be working toward) a Cert III or Diploma in Education & Care or other relevant ACECQA-approved qualification (preferred, not essential).

Have previous experience in childcare or OSHC (preferred, not essential).

Be motivated to support the Service Manager in implementing the service philosophy.

We are seeking childcare, children’s services, education, or related professionals who can:

Provide effective, active supervision of children, fostering an engaging and inclusive environment.

Support growth through intentional and spontaneous learning experiences, drawing inspiration from children's thoughts and preferences.

Complete documentation to inform the planning cycle, ensuring that activities are well-suited to children’s interests and development.

Assist with the daily management of the service's operations.

Cultivate genuine, compassionate, and professional relationships with children, their families, and the community.

A comprehensive induction process with all training provided

A 1:10 ratio to support the children and staff

Paid child protection training, professional development, team building, and staff meetings

Shift Times (ranging from):

Before School Care: 6:15 am - 9:15 am

After School Care: 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Vacation Care: 6:15 am - 12:15 pm or 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm (may vary based on demand)

Paid monthly team meetings and additional training opportunities for professional development

Broken Shift allowances

Requirements:

Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain before starting

Current First Aid Certificate (including Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis training) and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain

All remuneration is in accordance with the Queensland P&C Association Award, above-award rates may be considered for the right applicant, depending on experience and qualifications.
