Job Description
The Queensland Childrenβs Activities Network (QCAN) are seeking expressions of interest from Educational or Service Leaders who may be looking to further their skills by joining a casual pool of trainers in delivering professional development and learning opportunities tailored specifically for Outside School Hours Care (OSHC).
Interested applicants should hold a minimum Diploma level qualification as well as significant experience in the OSHC sector.β― Qualifications in adult training and learning or a willingness to undertake the Cert IV in Training and Assessment would be favourable.
Terms and conditions of casual employment will be negotiated with successful candidates. Applicants throughout Queensland will be considered.

Selection Criteria
1.
Clearly evidenced ability to provide quality learning opportunities for OSHC Educators through workshop and training facilitation, across a range of topics and focus areas. 2.
Demonstrated time management skills, including highly developed planning, organisational and problem-solving skills. 3.
Comprehensive understanding or the ability to rapidly acquire a comprehensive understanding of the National Quality Framework (including relevant laws and regulations), approved learning frameworks, policies, procedures and issues in operating OSHC services. 4.
Experience planning and facilitating training and development programs to effectively build the knowledge and skills of OSHC Educators in the workplace. 5.
Qualifications and/or experience relevant to conducting training needs analysis, design and development of training programs, and the delivery of training to adults. 6.
Highly developed oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills; an ability to handle complex operational issues and to prepare reports. 7.
Highly proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office software and a demonstrated ability to use unfamiliar software quickly and to resolve computing/technological problems independently. 8.
Other requirements:
A current drivers licence and reliable transport.
Potential ability to travel throughout Queensland (desirable)
Ability to fulfil on-call requirements and work outside core business hours for the sector when necessary.
