Kinda-Mindi Early Learning Centres are a small group of services, with locations around Sydney. We cater for children aged 0-6 years of age.

ABOUT THE SERVICE
Kinda-Mindi Early Learning Centre, Homebush is a 72-place service with four rooms located next to Sydney Markets.
As our motto is βTo Motivate, To Stimulate, To Challengeβ, we are looking for a highly experienced Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor to develop, lead and mentor a team of educators whilst undertaking the day-to-day management of the service.
ABOUT THE ROLE
If you have proven experience in the successful operation of a large service whilst leading and mentoring a team of educators in quality care and education, this is the position for you!
As Nominated Supervisor, it is expected that you will have the capacity to manage the day-to-day operations of the service, in accordance with the National Law and Regulations, and service policies and procedures. You will be responsible for developing strong partnerships with families and the community surrounding the service. You will have high-level knowledge and understanding of all relevant law and legislation, including Family Assistance Law and Work Health and Safety requirement. You will have opportunities to engage and collaborate with our other Nominated Supervisors at monthly meetings. You will have the support of a dedicated leadership team who will support you in your role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Monitor the development and implementation of individual room play-based programs as per the services curriculum planning policy.
Ensuring the health and safety needs of all children are supported.
Inspire and encourage environments which fosters curiosity and encourages exploration and engagement.
Demonstrate and promote professional standards at all times, ensuring positive and respectful relationships with children, families, fellow team members and the wider community.
Provide tailored support and mentorship to individual team members alongside the Educational Leader.
Promote and facilitate a positive team culture and channels of communication.
Lead reflective practice and curriculum considerations relating to inclusion and equity within your room and the service as a whole.
Advocate for the rights of children and their families.
Abide by all service policies and procedures, ensuring high quality practices are implemented at all times.
Candidates need to be dedicated, reliable and committed to working within our team. This is a full-time position. There is flexibility in working hours between 7.00am and 6.00pm. 9-day fortnight is available.
ABOUT YOU
Qualification Criteria
You will have a minimum of:
An ACECQA approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education & Care.
Essential Criteria
You will also have:
5+ years in a similar leadership role within a large service.
Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificate/s (E.g. 004 or 012).
Exceptional knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including National Law & Regulations, National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework.
A passion for developing, planning and implementing an innovative educational program with a commitment to inclusive early childhood practice and social justice.
A deep understanding of child safety and the National Child Safe Principles.
A commitment to empowering, respecting and protecting children and young people through the provision of child safe environments.
Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills, including leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication skills β both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, with exceptional organisational skills.
Computer literacy - experience using CCSS software systems.
Current approved Working with Children Check clearance number.
A National Police Check that is dated less than 6 months, or willingness to obtain.
