The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and confident leader in the Early Childhood Education sector to join our team asCentre Director. This is a unique opportunity to work in a culturally rich, inclusive environment that values strong connections to Country and community.

Key Responsibilities

**Leadership & Management:**Inspire, mentor, and lead a team of educators to create a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

**Operational Oversight:**Manage the day-to-day operations, including staffing, rostering, budgeting, and resource allocation.

**Compliance:**Ensure the service fully complies with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.

**Community Engagement:**Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with families and the local community.

About You

**Qualifications:**Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), plus a current Working With Children Check.

**Experience:**Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of educators, driving high performance and positive staff culture.

**Skills:**Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to build trusting relationships with families, staff, regulatory authorities, and the broader community.

**Passion:**A strong commitment to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care, with a deep respect for cultural learning and community values.

Desirable Skills and Experience

-

Previous experience as a Centre Director, Service Manager, or in a similar leadership role.

Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage challenges constructively.

Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource planning.

Proficiency with sector-specific management software and reporting systems.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with industry changes and best practices.
