Child Care Cook

Eltham Woods Childcare Cooperative is a not-for-profit community based centre with a wonderfully supportive culture for employees, families and children. We are currently rated as exceeding the National Quality Standard. Our service provides high quality care and education in a beautiful environment for 47 children each day.

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and skilled cook to take on the responsibility of preparing an exciting, delicious, fresh and wholesome menu for our children each day.

Successful applicants within the role will:

-Have a valid employee working with children check

-Be responsible for implementing an appropriate rotating menu for children aged 3mths to 6yrs which includes children with allergies and intolerances

-Be responsible for all ordering and stock control

-Be able to work autonomously, be reliable and well organised

-Be able to maintain high levels of cleanliness and order expected in a safe kitchen

-Be able to engage positively with educators and children within the service

-Hold a food safety supervisor certificate or be willing to undertake this training

The position is a permanent part time position working Monday to Friday from approximately 8.00am-3.00pm (shift time may vary for the right candidate) commencing from Monday 22 September.
