Work with children and teens across a wide range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural presentations in a hybrid clinic and community setting.
๐ฑ**About the Role **As a Child & Adolescent Psychologist, youโll play a pivotal role in supporting young people and their families through the many challenges that come with growing up. You'll provide therapy and assessments for:
- Anxiety, depression, and mood difficulties
- Behavioural and emotional regulation
- School and learning issues
- Self-esteem, bullying, and social challenges
- Trauma and adverse childhood experiences
- Neurodevelopmental conditions (ASD, ADHD, etc.) Using evidence-based, age-appropriate modalities like CBT, play-based therapy, and family-inclusive interventions, youโll promote healthy emotional development and build long-term coping skills.
If desired, youโll also have the opportunity to support:
- Adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or burnout
- Couples and families navigating life transitions or communication issues
- NDIS participants working toward emotional regulation, independence, and goal-based supports Sessions are offered via a hybrid modelโclinic, Telehealth, or in-home/community where appropriate. Flexibility and autonomy are central to the role, with strong supervision and support always available.
๐ง About the Team Led by two experienced clinicians with deep expertise in mental health and disability, this is a team that genuinely cares about its people. The practice supports a range of presentations across the lifespan, with a strong focus on neurodivergent clients and family systems. Youโll be working alongside Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and allied health professionals in a kind, collaborative, and professional environment.๐ผAbout You Youโre a compassionate, fully registered Psychologist who thrives on making a difference in childrenโs lives. To be successful, youโll need:
- Full registration with AHPRA and PsyBA
- Experience or strong interest in working with children and families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong report writing and assessment skills
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
