We're Recruiting: Cook (Small Services)
Do you want to nourish little explorers and be part of a supportive team?
Here at Little Bright Explorers, our kitchen is the heart of our Como centre. We believe that delicious, healthy food is a key part of every childβs learning and development. We're looking for a passionate and creative Cook to join our family and help us inspire a lifelong love of healthy food in the children we care for.
This is a permanent part-time position, working5-6 hours a day. The role is available for an immediate start for the right candidate, with the opportunity for a full-time role for those who hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
What You'll Be Doing:

Preparing and cooking nutritious and delicious meals and snacks for our children, catering to all ages.
Planning seasonal menus in consultation with our team and families.
Managing stock and ordering supplies efficiently while adhering to a budget.
Ensuring the kitchen and all food preparation areas meet the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
Catering to a variety of special dietary requirements and allergies.

What We're Looking For:

A genuine passion for cooking and a love of working with children.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a childcare or hospitality setting.
A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A validWorking with Children Check (WWCC).
A currentFood Safety Supervisor Certificate.
