Cook/Educator – Permanent Part-Time (Hybrid Role) Smart Cookies Early Learning Centre – Beecroft NSW

Smart Cookies Early Learning Centre is a family-owned and operated childcare service with over 10 years of experience in the early childhood sector. We are passionate about delivering high-quality education and care for children aged 9 months to 6 years, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

We are now seeking adedicated Cook/Educatorto join our team in apermanent part-time hybrid role. 👉Important: This is a combined role. Applicants must be willing and able to perform both cooking and educator duties. Candidates only interested in one or the other will not be considered.

About The Role

This unique position combines food preparation with hands-on education:

Cooking responsibilities:

Prepare and serve lunch and afternoon tea following a 4-week rotating menu

Cater to all dietary requirements, including allergies and cultural needs

Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards

Order and manage food supplies within budget

Educator responsibilities:

Work in the rooms as an early childhood educator

Supervise, engage and support children’s learning and development

Cover educator breaks when needed

Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Careor working towards (essential)

Working with Children Check(or willingness to obtain)

Food Safety Supervisor Certificateor relevant qualifications in nutrition/hospitality

First Aid Certificate(or willingness to obtain)

Strong time management and ability to balance dual responsibilities

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Previous experience as a childcare cook and/or early childhood educator (highly regarded)

Position Details

**Permanent part-time:**Monday to Friday, minimum 5 hours per day

Option to extend to full-time hours for the right candidate
