About the Opportunity
Woodlands is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic team member to support our Campus Chef in preparing and serving nutritious meals for children, including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late snacks. Youโll help ensure meals are delivered on time, maintain a clean and organised kitchen, and follow all food safety and hygiene standards. Responsibilities also include assisting with cleaning schedules, sanitising equipment, and promptly reporting or removing unsafe items.
This role plays an important part in maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Youโll follow health and safety procedures, participate in emergency drills and incident reporting, and ensure the kitchen meets all regulatory requirements. A clean uniform, apron, tied-back hair, and enclosed shoes are required at all times while working in the kitchen.
The Ideal Candidate:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Experience preparing nutritious, child-friendly meals in a childcare or early learning setting
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, especially for young children
Valid Working with Children Check, First aid and CPR, Mandatory reporting and Food handling certificates.
Knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011
