Kinda-Mindi Early Learning Centres are a small group of services, with locations around Sydney. We cater for children aged 0-6 years of age.

ABOUT THE SERVICE
As our motto is βTo Motivate, To Stimulate, To Challengeβ, we are looking for an experienced childcare cook for ourBella Vista servicewho is passionate and committed to providing children with healthy, nutritional meals to support their growth and development.
Kinda-Mindi, Bella Vista is a large, 103-place service with 6 rooms. We have large commercial kitchen with dedicated cafeteria area. Parking is available on-site and we are also close to Bus and Metro lines for those using public transport.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic cook to join our team for5 days per week.
This is a fast-paced role. In order to be successful in this position, your organisation and time management skills must be of a high standard. Our services offer breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack to all children at the service.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Order, prepare, cook and serve nutritional meals according to the service menu.
Ensuring that all meals provided meet the individual dietary and health needs of all children within the service.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene within the environments.
Maintaining professional standards at all times, promoting positive and respectful relationships with children, families, fellow team members and the wider community.
Actively engage with, and contribute to, the Kinda-Mindi cook community.
Actively contribute to the organisational menu planning.
Abide by all service policies and procedures, ensuring high quality practices are implemented at all times.
Candidates need to be dedicated, reliable and committed to working within our team. This is a full time role, working five days per week.
ABOUT YOU
Qualification Criteria
You will have:
Food Handling Certification
Food Safety Supervisor Certification (preferred)
Essential Criteria
You will also have:
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the NSW Food Safety Act and legislative requirements.
Experience in the same role within a large child care service.
Experience catering for children with a wide variety of dietary and medical needs.
An awareness of child safety and the National Child Safe Principles.
A commitment to empowering, respecting and protecting children and young people through the provision of child safe environments.
Excellent communication skills β both written and verbal.
Computer literacy β for ordering.
Current approved Working with Children Check clearance number.
3+ years experience working within early childhood services.
Desirable:

Commercial cookery qualification
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
