About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a warm and professional team dedicated to children's well-being. You'll play a vital role in shaping healthy eating habits from an early age, preparing wholesome, delicious meals that children enjoy and parents trust.
Our menus are designed in collaboration with nutritionists and reviewed regularly to reflect balance, diversity, and community needs. You'll have the chance to showcase your expertise while supporting children with varying dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences.
What You'll Bring
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Health & Community HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005, HLTFSE007)
- Current First Aid qualification (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma)
- Current Working with Children Check (employee)
- National Police Check (not less than 6 months old)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Allergen awareness certificate
- Experience preparing meals for children with allergies, dietary requirements, and medical conditions
- Knowledge of long day care nutrition standards and practices
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals in line with National Quality Standards and Child Safe Standards
- Follow seasonal menu plans and contribute to reviews and updates
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and professional grooming standards
- Manage food budgets and resources effectively
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and organised kitchen environment
