Nikinpa Child and Family Centre are looking for passionate and committed Early Childhood Educators to join the team and make a positive difference within the community.

Nikinpa Child and Family Centre is part of the services provided by the Muloobinba Aboriginal Corporation, which offers a safe place for Aboriginal children, young people, and their families. Nikinpa also provides access to health, counselling, and support services.
We offer a 54-place childcare and preschool facility that lays the foundation for an Aboriginal childβs educational journey in a culturally appropriate setting. We foster strong relationships with children and families and uphold cultural practices that support the Aboriginal identity of those using our service.
About the position
These positions are full-time, 38 hours per week. Multiple positions are available at our centre.
We offer;
Above award hourly rates ( between 12-22%) for Diploma Educators
Full salary packaging + Superannuation
Centre hours hours 8am - 5.30pm

About the Position
Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) will be an active member of a team that provides culturally appropriate early childhood education and care services. The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible to ensure the development of strong relationships with children at the centre as well as strong cultural practices that support the Aboriginal identity of children and families using the service.
The Diploma Early Childhood Educator will assist in the development and implementation of the services Quality Improvement Plan, and the policies and procedures of the organization.
While this position involves many tasks, quality interactions with the children and families is the most important. You will be required to supervise childrenβs play, responding to their areas of interest, and making sure that your interaction with them is positive.
You will also be required to set up the experiences in the room and the outside environment and to make sure that the room is tidied and all materials are put away at the end of the day.
Underpinning this role is the duty of care for children and adherence to the Code of Conduct. You will be expected to have an understanding of the National Quality reform agenda which encompasses The Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.
Position requirements
We are looking for candidates who:

Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
Has completed Diploma in Early Education & Care or relevant
Has a working with Children Check Clearance
Have a understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Has COVID-19 vaccination certificate (minimum of 2 doses
National Police Check
Holds a First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Certificate
Desirable requirements;
Understanding of Trauma Informed Practice
Ability to respond to Children's emotional, social and wellbeing needs
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Have a genuine desire to work within a team and have the ability to use initiative
Are flexible and committed and shows strong work ethic
Engage in reflective practice
You must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to apply under section 14D of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

Remuneration
A remuneration package will be paid in accordance with the Children's Services Award plus superannuation, leave loading and full salary sacrifice.
We offer 12-22% Above Award payrates for all our Educators roles.
