About the role

Explorers Learning Academy is seeking an experienced and qualified Diploma Room Leader to join our team in Bardia, NSW. As the Diploma Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing a room of 2-3 year old children, ensuring they receive high-quality care and education in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning programs and activities that foster children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development 2.

Supervise and mentor a team of educators, providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities 3.

Maintain accurate records and documentation, including observations, assessments and program planning 4.

Communicate effectively with parents and families, building strong partnerships to support each child's individual needs 5.

Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and maintain a safe, healthy and inclusive learning environment 6.

Collaborate with the broader Explorers Learning Academy team to contribute to the overall success of the centre

What we're looking for

1.

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent, with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role 2.

Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards 3.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues 4.

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to supporting the professional growth of your team 5.

Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail 6.

Passion for early childhood education and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young children
