Position Overview
*Join the exciting journey of our brand new, purpose builtMerrylands service*, catering for77 childrenacross four beautiful learning rooms. As a Room Leader, you will take the lead in your roomโs daily operations, ensuring high quality education, strong routines, and a warm, inclusive environment.
Youโll guide and inspire your team of educators to deliver engaging programs that nurture each childโs growth and development. This is your opportunity to shape a learning environment from the very start building strong connections with families, supporting your team, and delivering programs that foster curiosity, creativity, and care.
Responsibilities
Lead and guide the educators in your room, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
Plan, implement, and evaluate high-quality learning programs in line with the EYLF and NQS.
Maintain effective routines and a safe, organised, and engaging learning space.
Champion the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care.
Build strong, respectful relationships with families and keep them informed of their childโs progress.
Support the centreโs culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.
Qualifications and Skills
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
Proven experience as a Room Leader or strong interest in taking on a leadership role
Current Working with Children Check
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
Child Protection training/certificate
Strong organisational and communication skills
Passion for creating inspiring, engaging learning environments
