About the Role
Ngala is currently recruiting a Dishwasher to support the kitchen team at our Residential Parenting Service and childcare located in Kensington. The Dishwasher will assist with maintaining a clean, hygienic, and organised kitchen, and ensure client kitchens and dining areas are adequately stocked.
What Youβll Do
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
β’ Comply with food safety and quality standards and Ngala policies, procedures and requirements.
β’ Deliver meals to children and families.
β’ Wash dishes, equipment and surfaces.
β’ Organise storage areas and rotate stock to minimise waste and ensure product quality.
β’ Assist with ordering and receiving supplies as directed by senior kitchen staff.
β’ Waste management, including emptying bins, and sorting recyclables.
β’ Support a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in customer service.
β’ Contribute to a professional and positive work culture.
What Weβre Looking For
β’ Relevant experience in kitchen or cleaning work, preferably in an early childhood, hospital or similar environment.
β’ Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
β’ Basic level of administrative skills and confidence using technology.
β’ A positive and friendly attitude, with a willingness to learn.
β’ Hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Check issued within the last 6 months.
β’ Current Working with Children Check.
As part of our commitment to being a Child Safe organisation, successful candidates are required to provide their Immunisation History Statement.
While immunisations are highly encouraged, they are not mandatory. This information will help us assess and implement appropriate safety measures for everyone.
