canopy Early Education Dakabin, a part of API Leisure and Lifestyle (Qld), is a well-established early learning centre located at the intersection of Old Gympie Road and Whitehorse Road. With over 30 years of experience as a trusted childcare provider, we are excited to welcome a passionate and dedicated cook to join our team.

About the Role:

Are you passionate about creating amazing, nutritious meals and cooking experiences for children? canopy Dakabin is currently seeking a part-time cook 2-3 days/week to join our high-performing, stable team.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 99 children with operating hours from 6.30am-6.30pm, delivering all meals from breakfast to a late snack.

We are an active child safe organisation with a deep commitment to fostering a child-safe culture that is reflected in our practice, governance, team values and community partnerships.

About the Role:

To be successful in your application, you must have:

Food Safety certificate (completed I'm Alert training)

Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control

Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements.

Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations

Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills

Be available for set shift days and times Monday and Tuesday with the ability to work additional days as required.
