Early Childhood Centre Cook- Part-Time

AtBetty Elaine Kindergarten, we are dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education and care in Lidcombe. In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring our children receive nutritious, delicious meals that contribute to their wellbeing and healthy development.

What you’ll do

-

Plan and prepare healthy, seasonal meals and snacks in line with our rotational menu.

Cater to dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural needs of children.

Maintain a safe, hygienic, and well-organised kitchen.

Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.

Monitor kitchen supplies, manage stock

Work collaboratively with the team to ensure mealtimes are a positive, engaging experience.

What we’re looking for

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery/Hospitality (or equivalent) and/or Food Safety Supervisor qualification.

Demonstrated experience preparing nutritious meals, ideally in an early childhood or similar setting.

Strong knowledge of allergens, nutrition, and food safety practices.

Excellent time management, organisation, and communication skills.

A friendly and collaborative approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, children, and families.

Current First Aid Certificate, Working With Children Check, and National Police Check.
