Early Childhood Educator- Permanent part time Diploma position
We are seeking an experienced diploma trained educator for a permanent part time position on Thursday and Fridays, 8:00am-3:36pm. Starting term 4 of 2025.
About the opportunity:
We are a community based, not-for-profit preschool offering education to children 3-5 years of age. We have been serving our community since 1946 and we have a proud tradition of quality Early Childhood Education. We are currently rated โExceedingโ the National Quality Framework. Our Approved Provider is our Board of Management, made up of parents from our service.

The position will include:
Working with a team of passionate, highly experienced educators and Teachers
Regular access to training and development, led and supported by our Educational Leaders
Assisting the implementation and reflection of the program
Contributing to regular documentation of childrenโs emerging skills and interests
Working as a team to support and guide each other as you critically reflect on each childโs learning and development and on your pedagogy as part of everyday practice.
Maintaining safe, hygienic and engaging indoor and outdoor physical environments to facilitate childrenโs development.
Attending all staff meetings, parent/ teacher interviews, workshops, professional development sessions and service training sessions as required.
Developing relationships with families and engaging in professional communication with them.
Essential skills, qualifications and experience:
A current approved Working with Children Check number
Child protection certificate
Current First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
A relevant Early Childhood Diploma Qualification recognised by ACECQA
A sound knowledge and understanding of early childhood learning and development
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to contribute to the development and implementation of a high-quality educational program that reflects the diverse nature of the service, local and wider community, based on the approved learning framework and the service philosophy.
Demonstrated passion for working with young children in an education and care role.
Advocates for the safety of young children and understands their responsibilities within a child safe organisation.
The passion and ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the preschool for children, their families and your colleagues
Effective time management skills
A high level of initiative and a professional approach to the education and care of young children.
