Beacon House Montessori Centre is a family owned and operated Montessori Centre based in Dandenong, offering a cycle one program (3 to 6 years old) and an early learners program (20 months to 3 years old)

At BHMC, we pride ourselves on focusing on the individual child’s potential and their natural ability to learn. We at BHMC believe children learn best in an environment of freedom and respect and in a non-competitive atmosphere. Our thoughtfully designed environment focuses on building a love of learning for life, as we strongly believe the most important period of life is from birth to six.

We are seeking passionate educators to join our team. The role involves supporting the development and wellbeing of children as well as building strong and respectful relationships within our Montessori community. In addition, we are looking forcasual educatorswith a minimum qualification in Certificate III in children’s services. Previous experience in a Montessori environment is highly desirable.

Qualifications and skills:

An ACECQA approved Diploma in Children services or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood education

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standard (NQS), and National Quality Framework (NQF)

Demonstrate the ability to work together in a team environment

You will need to possess and display a passion and commitment to early childhood education

Excellent verbal & written communication skills

An additional language spoken (Mandarin, Italian) would be an advantage in securing the role

previous experience working in a Montessori environment would be desirable

Apart from the above requirements the candidates will also have a valid WWC, Mandatory reporting, first aid & anaphylaxis training.
