About Us:
Treehouse Childcare and Early Learning Centre is a custom-built establishment that delivers exceptional childcare services from six weeks old to the start of school. Treehouse Childcare and Early Learning Centre maintain regular operating hours for 52 weeks yearly to offer ongoing family assistance.
Multiple spacious areas inside the facility contain well-equipped playrooms promoting exploration and creativity
Children show comfort and accessibility to facilities, including bathrooms that welcome trained toilet users and younger children
Our learning program ensures personalized development support for the specific needs of each student

About the Role:
An**Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)**guides young children (typically ages 3-6) through their formative years, fostering their development in language, numeracy, and social-emotional skills. ECTs create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environments and work with both individual children and small groups, according to jobs.nsw.gov.au. They also play a crucial role in supporting children's well-being and communicating their progress to parents and caregivers.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Planning and Implementation of Curriculum:
Develop and implement age-appropriate learning activities and lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and individual needs.
Creating a Supportive Learning Environment:
Foster a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment where children can explore, learn, and grow.
Observing and Assessing Children:
Monitor children's development, progress, and behavior, documenting observations and communicating them to parents and other professionals.
Supporting Children's Well-being:
Provide care for children's basic needs, including hygiene, feeding, and first aid, and be alert to any signs of ill health or developmental concerns.
Parent Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain open communication with parents, sharing updates on their child's progress and collaborating on learning goals.
Professional Development:
Stay up-to-date with current practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Leading and Supervising:
May supervise or lead support staff such as teacher's aides or assistants.
Promoting Health and Safety:
Teach children about health and safety concepts and ensure a safe environment for learning and play.
Developing Skills:
Help children develop a range of skills, including language, literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional skills.
Using Various Teaching Methods:
Incorporate various teaching methods such as storytelling, drama, music, and discussion
Essential Requirements:
ยทDiploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50121)
ยท Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred but not essential
ยท Previous experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting
ยท Strong knowledge of theEarly Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the National Quality Framework (NQF)
and the Reggio Emilia approach
ยท Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
ยท A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing exceptional care
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC)
Current Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012)
