The role
Multiple roles currently exist for passionate and innovative Early Childhood Teachers to join our Preparatory School team in 2026 and help shape the learning journey of our youngest students. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity and a love of learning. Youβll implement rich pedagogy and curriculum and support each childβs holistic development β linguistic, social, emotional, aesthetic, spiritual, creative, physical and cognitive.
We are recruiting for full-time positions commencing in January 2026, including both 12-month fixed-term contracts and permanent opportunities. If you're an enthusiastic educator who believes in the power of early learning and wants to make a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Create a classroom culture which values curiosity, creativity, problem solving and the development of learner assets.
Plan learning and teaching programs that are built around childrenβs development β linguistic, social, emotional, aesthetic, spiritual, creative, physical and cognitive ways of knowing.
Develop and promote experiences based on student needs and interests, incorporating opportunities for learning through a balance of play and intentional teaching.
Create intentional, flexible indoor and outdoor environments that support learning through play and inquiry, enabling students to engage, reflect, experiment, and discover.
Adopt innovative practice that is responsive to student need.
About You
A teaching degree with a specialisation in Early Childhood Education.
A passion for early childhood education and a willingness to work as required from PK-2.
A deep understanding of play-based learning, inquiry-based approaches, and intentional teaching practices.
Demonstrated experience using interdisciplinary inquiry learning.
A clear understanding and application of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard and Western Australian Curriculum.
Hold current Working with Children Check.
Hold a current TRBWA registration.
Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
