The Opportunity – Early Childhood Teacher

As anEarly Childhood TeacheratSmarttots, you will play a key role in shaping the minds of young learners while being part of a supportive, professional, and passionate team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood education, engaging with families and colleagues, and supporting the holistic development of every child in your care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support and mentor fellow educators, guiding best practices to enhance children’s learning outcomes.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning space where children can grow and thrive.
• Ensure compliance with National Quality Standards (NQS), service policies, and child protection responsibilities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to continually enhance teaching strategies and curriculum delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved) OR currently working towards completion.
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management training.
• Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• A strong understanding of child development, the EYLF, and National Quality Standards.
• A collaborative, positive, and professional approach to working with children, families, and colleagues.
• A passion for early childhood education, innovation, and continuous learning.
