Educator

Calliope Kindergarten seeks to employ a casual educator for regular work. Our Kindy provides high-quality education and care for children in accordance with the service philosophy, policies, and the National Quality Framework (NQF). This role supports the teaching team to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with the teaching team to implement the kindergarten program in line with theEarly Years Learning Framework (EYLF)andNational Quality Standards (NQS).

Supervise and actively engage with children to support their learning, safety, and wellbeing.

Foster positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Maintain a safe and hygienic environment, following workplace health and safety guidelines.

Support children’s individual needs, interests, and routines.

Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and community-focused environment.

Follow service policies, procedures, and directions from the Nominated Supervisor/Educational Leader.

Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

CurrentBlue Card/Working with Children Check.

Current approvedFirst Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Managementcertification.

Knowledge of the EYLF and NQS desirable.

Availability to work on a casual/on-call basis.
