Key skills required

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrated experience in providing a safe, caring, non-judgmental and supportive environment for children, families, and staff.
• Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain written records, such as observations, evaluations, and programs.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, relevant Government Acts and regulations, and the ECA Code of Ethics and the rights of the child.
• Open to Professional development and training to learn the Billy Button way.
• Demonstrated experience in working with children who have special rights.
• Demonstrated good verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to Child Safe Standards and Professional Conduct

Qualifications and education requirements

• Qualification in Early Childhood Education & Care (or higher)
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Current Driver’s License
• Current First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
• Current CPR certificate
• Current Child Protection Certificate
• Current National Police Check (6 months or less)
• Must have minimum of 1 year experience
