ELC Educator-full or part time

St Mary’s Community of Learners (CoL) is a welcoming, play-based early childhood learning and care centre in the heart of Darwin’s CBD. We provide high-quality education in a faith-filled environment, fostering each child’s growth and development.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This role involves supporting children’s learning, development, and well-being in a nurturing, inclusive and engaging environment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic educator who is passionate about supporting children to grow and learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement meaningful, play-based learning experiences for children.

Support children in daily routines, fostering independence and social development.

Work collaboratively with families, educators, and the wider school community.

Work with colleagues in a well-established team, communicating effectively

Assist in delivering programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Maintain observations and documentation to support children’s growth and development.

About You:

Hold a current Ochre Card (Working with Children Card)

Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).

Experience working in an early childhood setting.

Understanding of child development and play-based learning principles.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Experience supporting children with additional needs or disabilities is desirable.

Passion for creating a welcoming, inclusive, and faith-based learning environment.
