About us
Our service is a smaller boutique, family owned and operated centre firmly established within the local community. We offer an authentic homelike environment for our children to learn, grow in confidence, develop friendships and flourish. Our team of educators are a very welcoming group who are passionate about their profession and their role in educating within the early childhood environment. The team is smaller and supportive, and they take pride in their achievements, working collaboratively to share responsibilities and daily tasks. The service management prioritises educator development and growth ensuring that individual and team wellbeing is a point of focus. We love investigating new ideas and concepts in order to grow as an early childhood education and care service. As we expand the team, our educators love nothing more than meeting new and likeminded early education professionals who are as equally motivated, committed and driven to achieve high quality early childhood education outcomes.
Qualifications & experience
Recent experience working within an early childhood education and care service
You will have achieved your Certificate III in early childhood education and care or Diploma in Children's Services
You may be actively working towards your Diploma or even be working towards your ECT degree
Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Mangement training
Current Working with Children check
Recent Child Protection training and qualification
Excellent written and verbal communication
Professional, mature minded individual who is open to new ideas
Flexibility to cover a range of shifts across the opening hours
General computer/iPad knowledge
Tasks & responsibilities
Actively contribute to the day-to-day responsibilities of the Rooms within the service
Effective communicator when sharing information with the team and in building strong partnerships with families.
Collaborative, motivated, committed, enthusiastic and demonstrates initiative.
Follow and model the service philosophy, policies, routines and procedures.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.
Previous experience programming for children aged 0-5 years of age is preferred.
Observe and record the learning and development of the children.
Supervise and interact in a positive and supportive manner with all children at the service, ranging from 0-5 years of age
Assist in supporting and mentoring team members who are working toward their qualifications and are actively developing their skills and understanding
