Food Coordinator

Working towards relevant qualifications in accordance with Education and Care services National Regulations 2012, Food nutrition, Food Act 2008 Regulatory Safety (Child Care).

Experience in preparing and planning meals for large groups of children and people.

To work in partnership with families in meeting all children’s dietary requirements.

To provide healthy and nutritious snacks and meals for children aged 0-12 years.

To maintain the environment in meeting Health Regulations.

To assist in all aspects of the childcare service in accordance with Service Philosophy and Policies, Government Regulations and National Quality Standards.

To co-ordinate the purchasing and ordering of supplies to reflect the menu.

To work as an effective team member.

Food Handling and Hygiene certified course.

Knowledge of food safe requirements

Knowledge of special dietary considerations and individual children’s socio-cultural needs.

Certified course in Nutrition.

Experience in cooking for groups.

Ability to work well on own and within a team environment.

Ability to work within a budget.

Current First Aid Certificate.

Qualified Educator (Diploma Level), you are expected to lead your team providing high quality early childhood education and care and also be an active team member.

General Responsibilities

To work towards the requirements of the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010, Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care 2012;

Working in accordance with the Code of Ethics of Coolabaroo Neighbourhood Centre. Implementing the service’s philosophy in undertaking all other duties;

Working in accordance with the policies and associated procedures of the organisation; and

Provide ongoing support and assistance to the other staff in all areas of service operation.

Mentor and Lead staff in their room.

Compliance of all regulatory requirements.

Be enthusiastic and focused on the children and their needs.

The MGA team all support the day to day operations of CNC, CHS, CCS and CS

Qualifications and experience required with positions, also Working with Children Card, National Police Clearance, Health Clearance and a valid driver's licence.

Positions are paid under the Children's Services Award 2010 plus.
