Job Description
Looking to hire an experienced educator to join our babies room team. This position suits an educator with previous experience with babies.
The successful candidate must be proactive, have a sunny disposition, be a strong team player, have a good understanding of the cycle of planning, and be able to contribute towards programming and planning (including writing observations and the program plan).
Woodstock Early Learning Centre in Sydney Olympic Park is privately run early childhood service where the connection with the environment is promoted through light filled rooms and a spacious outdoor environment. We are close to public transport and shops.
We strongly believe that children learn through play and allow ample time for uninterrupted play, as well as weekly planned indoor/outdoor programs. While planned, the development of emerging pre-school readiness skills (social & emotional development, and self-help skills) and concepts are embedded into the programs.

Your responsibilities include:
assisting with the development and implementation of the curriculum - programming and planning.
have a good understating of the environment as third teacher, using this knowledge to plan and set up engaging play spaces.
work in a professional work environment and contribute equally to the team.
critically reflect on you own practices and use this information to ensure the self-assessment is current and relevant.
You will be able to:
work collaboratively in a team
contribute to self-reflection and the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System
have sound knowledge of the NQF, including the EYLF, law and regulations
build strong partnerships and relationships with all children and their families, the community and your colleagues
be an advocate for children (their rights and their protection)
write observations and the planned programs independently
You must have:
completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
availability to work 38 hours per week (full-time)
Working with children check
Good computer skills
First aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training (preferred)
Strong verbal and written English skills
previous experience working in a similar setting and role is preferred
