Fulltime Trainee and Childcare Cook/Chef - Immediate Start

Barefoot Early Childhoodis looking for some additional team members to join our fun loving tribe. We are currently looking for:

*Cook/Chef (25 hours + a week)

*Fulltime Trainee (5 days a week)

*Cert 3 and Diploma Qualified Casual (Relief Staff)

About the positions:

We searching for an amazing Centre COOK to nourish our hungry little people while our beautiful Miss Belle is on maternity leave. Mon - Fri approx 5/6 hrs per day negotiable.

ESSENTIAL skills include:

• A passion for preparing homestyle, nutritious meals made with love and care. Meals may need to cater to individual dietary requirements for children with allergies etc. in a way that makes them feel included.

• A love of children, their company, conversation and their “help” with food preparation.

• An ability to work with families and children to meet their dietary needs, requirements and wishes.

• Efficiency and time management is also an important skill for this role, because well.. hangry toddlers 😮‍💨

A qualification is not essential, but a passion for healthy and fun food is. You will receive training and support on food ordering, health and hygiene record keeping and menu preparation.

Our ideal candidate would be kind, have a great sense of humour, be an excellent giver of snacks and the ability to hold very long conversations about random things.

Fulltime Trainee:

Our next Trainee superstar will support and care for young children under the guidance of qualified educators, gaining hands-on experience and working towards a formal Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Duties include assisting with daily routines, supporting children's health and hygiene, helping to create and run play-based learning activities, and contributing to a safe and positive environment across all ages.

ESSENTIAL skills include:

• A love for exploring outdoors, rainy muddy puddles, gardening, animals (big and small), creative play and spontaneous dance parties.

• Flexibility with shifts at short notice (the role will include relieving Educators for AL, SL and for Professional Development training).

• Ability to supervise and follow instructions ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children.

• Availibilities to work 5 days - Varying shifts between 6:15am - 6:30pm.
