About the role
We are looking for Extraordinary Team and Group Leaders for our new service. We want passion and commitment and a sense of fun and adventure as we venture into Nature and Parks surrounding us connecting children to the natural world. We don't want ordinary - we want inquiry and research and a total commitment to Quality Care and Education and a Child Safe Environment. If adventure appeals to you then we need you to join our new Team. [Subject to Service Approve by Department of Education] due to open October 2025
What you'll be doing
Developing and implementing educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
Providing high-quality care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times particularly when we are out in Nature
Fostering positive relationships with children, families and the broader community and using nature and the environment as the third teacher
Conducting observations and assessments to monitor children's progress and identify their individual needs and supporting them
Collaborating with the teaching team to continuously improve the quality of the learning environment
Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements through learning stories and recording the voices of children
Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in a variety of curriculum areas using the KG Learning Approach
What we're looking for
A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Extensive experience (minimum 2 years) working as a Group Leader or Educator in an early learning setting
Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
A keen interest in staying up-to-date with industry best practices and implementing innovative teaching strategies
A passion for supporting children's holistic development and a commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education with a sense of fun and adventure
A valid NSW Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
