Guided by the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care, the Office for Early Childhood Development is the steward of the early childhood development system in South Australia.
The Office is tasked with a significant responsibility: bringing together a holistic, connected system for early childhood development across South Australia, with the goal of reducing the rate of children entering school developmental vulnerable. Critical to this is the roll-out of universal 3-year-old preschool from 2026, giving every child access to 2 years of teacher-led, play-based early learning before school.
About this role:
As theImplementation Support Officer, Early Childhood, you will be central to the roll-out ofuniversal 3-year-old preschooland other sector-shaping initiatives across South Australia. This is your opportunity to contribute to a statewide movement supporting childrenβs learning, development, and wellbeing from the earliest years with a team that values collaboration, impact, and community connection.
As a key member of the Local Team, you will:
providehigh-level coordination and administrative supportto ensure smooth implementation of early childhood reforms.
managescheduling, meetings, travel logistics, and diary coordination for the Regional Manager and team.
managing administrative processes such asminute-taking, correspondence tracking, document management, and action item follow-ups.
supportdata collection, minor research, and implementation of local projects.
assist withfinancial processes, HR tasks, and internal compliance reporting.
act as the first point of contact for stakeholders, ensuringprofessional, timely, and responsive communication.
foster collaboration by maintaininginformation systems, databases, and communication channels.

Additional Note:
This is a 2-year long-term part-time contract role with the potential to be made ongoing.
This role will be based in Port Adelaide, supporting our Local Teams.
This is a part-time opportunity (0.5 FTE) with flexibility around workdays available.
Remuneration:
ASO4-$76,561 -$80,256 (1.0 FTE) per annum, plus superannuation.
