About Oaklands

Oaklands Child Care and Kindergarten is a boutique early learning long day care childcare centre and kindergarten located in East Brisbane. We are wholly owned by Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie).

As a centre with 99 places, we provide a peaceful environment for our children and parents and offer a variety of outstanding early learning programs. Our employees are part of a tight-knit team that shares in the administration and running of the centre collaboratively. The leadership and culture of our centre are very open and transparent and as such, many of our employees have been with us for a long time.

Oaklands has applied for the Australian Government's Worker Retention Grant and we are currently awaiting their assessment. This may result in an additional allowance.

About the role

As a Lead Educator, you will plan, implement and evaluate programs through your strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS). You will engage and support children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups and stages of development, and you will also use your leadership experience to lead and mentor a team of amazing and passionate Educators.

About you

As the successful applicant, you will have:

Diploma in Children's Services

Current Blue Card for child related employment, or the ability to obtain one

Valid First aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates

Demonstrated experience operating under the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in previous on the job, Room Leader experience

Current working rights for Australia.
