Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated, committed and enthusiastic educator who has a passion for working with children and other educators in a fun environment to lead our Kindy Room.
Kimberley Kids operates three individual services in the sunny town of Broome.
These services are:
Kimberley Kids Early Learning Centre; which is a 77 place long day care service for children aged 0 - 5 years. Kimberley Kids Cable Beach; which is a 14 place after school program for Pre-Primary aged children.
Kimberley Kids Outside School Hours Care; is a 28 place after school and vacation care program from Year 1 to Year 6.
All of our services provide child focused education. We value play and work collaboratively with families to support ongoing learning and development for all children.
The successful applicant will lead a team of educators to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment that meets the needs of individual children and families attending the long day care centre. The successful application will possess well developed communication skills and knowledge and experience of contemporary theories and practices in early learning; The Early Years Learning Framework and the Education and Care Services Regulations 2012. You will also have a commitment to environmental education and an interest in Nature Play Experience within the emergent curriculum is desirable.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Diploma in Children's Services or Bachelor Early Childhood or equivalent approved qualification
A current First Aid Certificate, including Anaphylaxis and Asthma management
Current WA Working with Children Check
Well developed program and curriculum planning, observation and evaluation skills, with a sound knowledge of the EYLF
Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF)
Effective interpersonal skills
Effective verbal and communication skills
Effective computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
Ability to interact and build relationships with children and families in a positive, sensitive and professional manner
A commitment to best practice
A commitment to professional development and ongoing personal growth
A commitment to environmental education
