Montessori / Early Childhood Diploma Educators - Casual Positions

About the role

Northwest Montessori Preschool is seeking dedicated and experienced educators with a Montessori or Early Childhood Diploma to join our passionate team. We offer casual positions that provide a flexible and supportive work environment, ideal for professionals committed to nurturing young minds through Montessori education.

Located across our Coburg and Brunswick campuses, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality learning experiences that foster independence, curiosity, and growth in our students.

Position Details:

Casual shifts available Monday to Friday, between 9:00am and 6:00pm

Perfect for students currently completing their Early Childhood qualifications and looking to gain hands-on industry experience

Full-time hours available until the end of the year

Additional ad hoc hours may also be offered

What you'll be doing

Apply the Montessori curriculum and educational philosophy to support the holistic development of children aged 3-6 years

Plan, prepare, and maintain a stimulating, safe, and nurturing learning environment

Observe children to identify their needs and interests, creating tailored educational activities accordingly

Document children's progress and observations and maintain open communication with families

Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure consistency and continuity of care

Engage in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your practice

Communicate and educate children on child safety and the Child Safe Standards

Assist with cleaning and classroom preparation of materials and the environment.

What we're looking for

Completed or working towards Montessori or Early Childhood Diploma/Degree qualification

Demonstrated some experience working in a Montessori or early childhood education setting

Understanding of the Montessori pedagogy and its application

Understanding of the Child Safe Standards and putting them into practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children and families

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Passion for nurturing the growth and development of young children
