We seek anexperienced educatorwith a minimum of 2 years paid industry experience, who isproactive, team-oriented, and recognises that their presence extends beyond meeting ratiosโactively contributingto a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Our service is a Montessori-registered long day care & Kindergarten ( Hours 8.30 - 5.00 pm) located in Heathmont. Dedicated to providing quality education, we seek a highly motivated educator to inspire and be part of a great team, looking after the Cycle 1 (3 โ 6 years) program or the Infant Toddler Community program ( 1 - 3 years )
We are looking for someone who has the following attributes:

Organised and prepared to lead children towards independence
Good understanding and trust the Montessori method
Teachable and ready to learn more
Model correct behaviour for the children and adults
Highly reflective and willing to learn from mistakes
Be the connection between the children and the materials
Undertake administrative tasks as required
Work collaboratively as a team
Your role will include, but is not limited to the following:
Presenting clear, interesting and relevant lessons to children
Modelling desirable behaviour for the children, exhibiting a sense of calm, consistency, grace and courtesy and demonstrating respect for every child.
Systematically observing students and interpreting their needs. This includes observing and evaluating each childโs progress.
Experimenting and modifying the environment to meet each childโs needs and interests
Preparing the classroom environment to support childrenโs independence and freely select work they find appealing.
Keeping the environment in perfect condition, adding or removing materials as needed.
Respecting and protecting childrenโs independence and knowing when to step in, set limits, or lend a helping hand, ensuring you do not interfere with a childโs concentration.
Facilitating communication and interpreting childrenโs progress and work in the classroom to parents, staff and the community. This includes making necessary referrals and suggestions to parents should a child require additional support.

Qualifications & Certificates Required:
Early Childhood Qualification recognised by ACECQA
First Aid Certificate
Working with Children Check
The right to work in Australia
Minimum 2 years of experience in Early Childhood
