Job Description
This is a permanent part-time position (0.2 to 0.4 FTE negotiable) for a passionate and experiencedMusic Teacherto deliver engaging and inclusive programs from Kindergarten to Year 6, beginning fromTerm 1, 2026, or earlier if available.

Child Safety
Perth Montessori is committed to child safety and wellbeing. The successful applicant will be required to satisfy child protection screening and adhere to the Schoolβs Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct.
The successful candidate will:
β’ Be a qualified teacher with tertiary qualifications in Music and Education.
β’ Have experience teaching Music in early childhood and primary years.
β’ Demonstrate strong knowledge of music pedagogy, with skills in choral/ensemble conducting and/or piano accompaniment an advantage.
β’ Inspire students through creativity, exploration and performance opportunities, both in class and co-curricular settings.
β’ Contribute to school events such as assemblies, concerts and community celebrations.
β’ Embrace the Montessori approach to education, valuing multi-age learning, student voice, self-expression, and respect for individuality.
We are looking for someone who:
β’ Has excellent classroom teaching skills and the ability to plan and deliver dynamic, student-centred programs.
β’ Is enthusiastic about fostering a love of music in young learners.
β’ Works collaboratively with colleagues and families to support each childβs growth.
