Explore & Develop Artarmon is expanding! Weโre excited to announce the opening of our brand-new, purpose-built early childhood education and care service on Dickson Avenue, Artarmon. As we prepare to welcome families into this new space, we are looking for a passionate, experienced, and professional Nominated Supervisor/Educational Leader to lead and inspire a new and growing team. This is a long term leadership opportunity for someone who wants to make an impact with taking a new centre off the ground, and experience professional growth under exceeding quality mentorship.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a service from the ground up, supported by an experienced Approved Provider with a reputation for excellence in the Artarmon area. Our sister centre, Explore & Develop Artarmon โ Campbell Street, has consistently achieved an Exceeding Rating (under the National Quality Framework) across three successive Assessment and Rating visits โ a testament to our commitment to quality.
**About the Role ** As the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader, you will be instrumental in:
Driving the Explore & Develop Artarmon vision, pedagogy, philosophy and operations
Establishing and leading a high-quality early childhood program
Recruiting, mentoring, and supporting a dedicated team of passionate educators and staff
Building relationships and creating a warm, inclusive environment for children, families, staff and the community
Ensuring compliance with National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework, service policies, and exceeding the National Quality Standard
Driving a culture of continuous improvement, reflection, and professional learning
A commitment to working in partnership with families with the ability to form and maintain respectful relationships with families and children and foster a community spirit
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Early Childhood leader who is dedicated to educational excellence and fostering a positive, collaborative environment. You will play a vital role in establishing the serviceโs culture and building a passionate team, providing exceptional education and care to children and families from day one.
An individual with strong leadership and management capabilities, a passion for empowering others and a child-centred personal philosophy. Your proven ability to lead collaboratively will set the tone for success
A qualified Early Childhood Teacher (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) & NESA Accreditation
Demonstrated Leadership Experience with a minimum of 2 years management experience in an early childhood education and care service as a Nominated Supervisor
Sound understanding of the โNational Quality Frameworkโ, including Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) the National Quality Standard, and working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A commitment to inclusion, equity, social justice and building strong relationships
Full Australian working rights
A current Working with Children Check
Completed a Nationally Accredited Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025) as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices, child safe standards and mandatory reporting
Current approved First Aid/CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
Prior experience in establishing a new service will be highly regarded
