Are you looking for rewarding role in a supportive TEAM environment?
GBOOSH is a not-for-profit community-based centre providing care for 5-12 year olds in Before School, After School & Vacation Care. We are looking for an motivated and inspiring candidates to join our team located on the grounds of Gymea Bay Public School.
Applicants must be energetic, passionate and committed to providing quality OOSH programs to our community. We are a fun and busy OOSH service licenced for up to 180 children per session.
Essential Criteria:
Completed or working towards a certificate, diploma or university degree in a field relating to working with families/children.
Valid Working with Children check number.
Current approved First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain).
Strong communication skills to ensure you develop positive relationships with children, families and community stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and within a close-knit team.
A positive attitude and can-do approach to challenging situations.
Be flexible and adaptable to change.
Desirable Skills/Knowledge:
An understanding of duty of care, supervision techniques and child protection legislation.
Experience working with children, with a commitment to child safety and continuous improvement through the NQS.
Experience implementing & evaluating developmentally appropriate, engaging programs in the child care/OOSH industry.
Ability to work alongside children with additional needs to provide inclusive care opportunities.
Casual or Permanent part-time hours can be negotiated with successful candidates, between 15 – 25 hours per week rostered Monday - Friday (between the hours of 7am - 9am and 2pm - 6pm in school terms, with shifts available 7am - 6pm in school holidays).
Salary conditions are subject to negotiation with each candidate based on skills and knowledge.****Training and inductions to commence ASAP!
