As an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator at the Y Canberra Region, you’ll take on a key leadership role in our Children’s Services team—creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children, while guiding and supporting your team to deliver high-quality care.
Our North Ainslie program operates from North Ainslie Primary School on Sherbrook Street, offering a convenient and central location for families in Canberra’s North.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with:
A genuine passion for working with children and their families.
Motivation and enthusiasm to contribute to a supportive, dynamic team.
Knowledge of the National Education and Care Law and Regulations.
Familiarity with the My Time, Our Place Framework, the National Quality Framework, and the Early Years Learning Framework.
Ability to create inclusive, engaging learning experiences for children.
Proven leadership and daily management skills.
Commitment to best practices in safety, wellbeing, and child safeguarding.
What You’ll Need
At least 2 years of experience working with primary school-aged children.
Diploma or Degree in early childhood education and care or equivalent
Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework, and My Time, Our Place.
A current WWVP Check (ACT) or willingness to obtain.
First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certification or willingness to obtain.
A valid driver’s license.
Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable.
