The opportunity
Our team in Thrive Kids are continually growing to support our communities little humans in their educational growth – so we’re expanding our team and seeking enthusiastic OOSH Educators to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
We consider these roles to be so important, playing an essential part in delivering our OOSH service through strong customer service skillsets and a genuine passion for education.
You’ll join one of three services, Shoal Bay, Medowie or Seaham, supporting the Supervisor through assisting in the planning, implementing and evaluating of our OOSH programs for our communities little humans.
These positions are perfect for someone looking for a way to connect with a local school throughout their Education studies, or a long-term OOSH professional looking for a long-term career within their local community.
Locations available:
Shoal Bay
Our Shoal Bay service is based out of Shoal Bay Public School, along Rigney Street, and services Shoal Bay Public School. Hours of operation are; 7:00am to 9:00am, and 2:30pm to 6:00pm with access to our Broken Shift Allowance.
This position will work a minimum of 18 hours per week, up to a maximum of 38 hours per week.
Medowie:
Our Medowie service is based out of Medowie Public School, along Ferodale Road. Hours of operation are; 7:00am to 9:00am, and 2:45pm – 6:00pm with access to our Broken Shift Allowance. Our Vacation Care hours range from 7:00am – 6:00pm, with shifts rostered accordingly.
This position will work a minimum of 28 hours per week, to a maximum of 38 hours per week.
Seaham:
Our Seaham services is based out of Seaham Public School, along Still Street. Hours of operation are: 2:30pm – 6:00pm.
This position is a minimum of 17.5 hours per week, to a maximum of 38 hours per week.
This is a permanent opportunity– working part-time hours as above.
Hourly Rate:$32.19 to $34.91 / hour + 12% superannuation + $1,065 retention allowance (based off 17.5 hours, paid annually) + broken shift allowance

Assist the Nominated Supervisor in providing high quality Outside of School Hours Care
Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in care.

Previous experience working in Before and After School Care, Vacation Care, or a school-aged children’s recreation program
Approved First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection qualifications
