Whatβs in it for you?
Paid traineeship: $24.17/hr + super, permanent part-time (15β20 hrs/week).
Certificate III in Outside School Hours Care (OHSC) β nationally recognised qualification.
Study time built into your work week (1.5 hrs/week), plus monthly half-day training sessions.
Orientation day is paid, and youβll earn while you learn from day one.
Strong support network: career coach, trainer, and employer all working with you to succeed.
High transition rate to ongoing employment (80% post-qualification).
Pathway to Diploma in OHSC or pivot into Early Childhood Education.
RPL (recognition of prior learning) available for those with relevant experience or study.
About the role:
Traineeships available in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.
Work morning or afternoon shifts in Out of Hours School Care.
Support children with play, learning, and wellbeing in a safe and nurturing environment.
Build relationships with children and communicate confidently with parents.
First Aid training included in your course.
Youβll stay at the same centre throughout your traineeship for consistency and growth.
About you:
Aged 18β26 with Australian/NZ citizenship or permanent residency
Passionate about working with children β whether youβve babysat, coached, or just love helping out with your siblings or younger cousins.
Empathetic, patient, kind, and not afraid of a bit of mess.
Great communicator.
Creative types welcome! Whether youβve illustrated a book or just love craft time, we want your spark.
No formal experience needed β just genuine motivation and a willingness to learn.
Must be able to pass Working with Children and Police Checks (associated costs will be reimbursed).
