About Us

We are a family-owned and operated Montessori Long Daycare Centre located in Burpengary, Queensland. Our purpose-built facility, established in August 2022, is dedicated to nurturing children’s development through the Montessori philosophy. We cater to children aged 6 months to school age across our Nido, Infant, and Children’s House communities.

Our Centre fosters a supportive, collaborative work environment and operates from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays and a two-week closure over Christmas/New Year.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Assistant Educator to join our Infant Community (18 months–3 years) team in a permanent full-time role. This position requires availability Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm (set rostered shifts).

About You

Requirements

Minimum 12 months’ experience in the early childhood education sector (preferred)

Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or at least commenced Cert III and consideredactively working towards)

Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check – QLD)

Ability to work 5 days a week within our operating hours (set rostered shifts)

Genuine passion for children’s learning and wellbeing

Montessori knowledge or experience (preferred but not essential as you will be provided on-the-job Montessori pedagogy training)

Responsibilities

Supporting the Lead Educator in our Infant Community classrooms with children aged 18 months to 3 years

Actively engaging with and supervising children during both indoor and outdoor programs

Assisting in preparing and maintaining a calm, purposeful, and engaging Montessori environment

Building respectful and trusting relationships with children, families, and the team

Supporting programs and experiences in line with the Montessori philosophy and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

Performing daily cleaning, restocking, and general upkeep of the environment to ensure it remains organised, hygienic, and well-prepared

Ensuring safety, wellbeing, and inclusion for all children in your care
