About the role Opportunity for a Diploma Qualified educator to join our team. The position is for a 12 month maternity leave contract.
Become a member of our passionate and dedicated team of educators at Wyndarra Childrens Centre in Hoppers Crossing. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children aged 0-5 years. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced early childhood educator to contribute to the growth and development of the children in our care.
What you'll be doing
Deliver high-quality educational programs that support the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development of children as a Qualified assistant.
Implement the Early Years Learning Framework to foster learning through play-based activities
Observe and document children's progress, adjusting programs to meet their individual needs
Provide a warm, caring, and inclusive environment that promotes children's wellbeing
Maintain a child safe and hygienic learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Effectively communicate with parents and families, building positive relationships
Collaboratively work with families, coworkers and children to achieve high learning outcomes.
Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
Advocate for the rights of children, following the Child Safe Standards Code of Conduct.
What we're looking for
An experienced educator holding a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and care.
Available to work full time, 8 hour shifts ranging from 6.20am - 6.30pm shifts.
Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience working as an Early Childhood Educator in a long day care or preschool setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
A deep understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care
A current Working with Children Check, First Aid certificate, and CPR certification
Right to work in Australia
Anaphylaxis management training (or willingness to obtain upon commencement)
