About the role;
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Room Leader to join our dynamic team in Balmain, NSW. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and educational programs for children. This is a full-time position based in our Balmain location.
What you'll be doing;
Oversee the day-to-day operations of your designated room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational activities and curriculum to support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of the children
Mentor and support a team of educators, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to help them develop their skills and achieve their professional goals
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and policies
Foster positive relationships with parents and families, communicating effectively about the children's progress and addressing any concerns
Actively participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service
What we're looking for;
A Certificate 3, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education - Qualification not as important to us as experience and passion is
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Room Leader or Senior Educator in a childcare setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team of educators
Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children
Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
