About the role:
As an Area Manager, you will lead a portfolio of early childhood education centres across Melbourneβs western suburbs and the Geelong region. This role is a dynamic blend of people leadership, operational oversight, and strategic support. You will mentor and guide Centre Directors to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs, regulatory compliance, and strong team culture. With a focus on both child outcomes and business performance, you will drive occupancy, manage resources effectively, and support the ongoing growth of each service. What youβll need to succeed:
A minimum of 3β5 yearsβ experience in a multi-site leadership role within early childhood education
A Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent approved qualification).
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and regulatory standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve high-quality educational and care outcomes.
Proven business acumen β including experience in managing centre budgets, driving occupancy, analysing performance metrics, and ensuring operational efficiency.
A confident and proactive leadership style, with excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
A growth mindset, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement β for yourself, your teams, and your centres.
Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, and all relevant compliance certifications.
