The Opportunity

As our Early Childhood Director, you will oversee the daily operations of the centre while nurturing a culture of collaboration, respect, and innovation. You’ll guide a team of passionate educators and support them in delivering meaningful, child centred learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead with vision and compassion, supporting a high-quality, child-led early education program

Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for children, families, and staff

Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations

Guide curriculum planning that is emergent, inquiry-based, and responsive to children's interests

Support and mentor educators in reflective practice and ongoing professional growth

Cultivate strong relationships with families, encouraging open communication and partnership

Manage enrolment, staffing, budgets, and administrative operations

Uphold and further develop the ELC's mission, values, and aesthetics

About you:

Holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education

Ideally 3 years of leadership experience in a Reggio Emilia-inspired, play-based, or nature-based setting

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a coaching mindset

Committed to building a positive, professional, and reflective team culture

Strong business acumen

Current WWCC, First aid and Child Protection Training certificate
