Chef or Cook in Early Education Childhood setting

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experiencedChef/Cookto join our team at Amazing Grace Early Learning Centre Railway Estate. This is a rewarding flexible position where you’ll make a positive impact on children’s health and wellbeing through nutritious, delicious meals.

About Chef or Cook Role:

Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, following set menus and dietary requirements.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen that complies with food safety standards.

Cater to allergies, intolerances, and cultural food preferences.

Collaborate with educators and families to encourage positive attitudes towards healthy eating.

Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen supplies.

What We’re Looking in our Chef or Cook : Flexibility In Hours

Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally within childcare or similar settings.

Knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and menu planning for young children.

Current Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Hold or willing to obtain Child Protection certificate.

Excellent time management and organisation skills.

A caring, reliable, and positive attitude.
